Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Viticulturist / Vineyard Manager to oversee the development, cultivation, and management of our specialized grape growing operations. This unique opportunity is open to international candidates eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic agricultural environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of vineyard health, production, and team leadership, ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all vineyard operations, including planting, pruning, canopy management, irrigation, pest and disease control, and harvesting.
  • Develop and implement viticultural strategies to optimize grape quality and yield.
  • Lead, train, and supervise vineyard staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor vineyard health, soil conditions, and environmental factors, making data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for vineyard operations, including equipment, labor, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and implement sustainable farming practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of vineyard activities, treatments, and production data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on research and development initiatives for new varietals and techniques.
  • Oversee maintenance of vineyard equipment and infrastructure.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in viticulture and vineyard management.
  • Strong understanding of grape physiology, soil science, and plant pathology.
  • Proficiency in vineyard machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Viticulture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in vineyard management.
  • International experience in diverse viticultural regions.
  • Familiarity with organic or biodynamic farming principles.
  • Knowledge of vineyard software and data management systems.
