Job Description
Are you passionate about climbing, eager to learn, and ready for an active role in a dynamic environment? Momentum Indoor Climbing is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Climbing Gym Belay Instructor Trainee. This entry-level position is perfect for those with little to no prior experience in instructing, as we provide comprehensive training and certification. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our members and guests, while developing your own climbing skills and becoming an integral part of our vibrant climbing community. Key Responsibilities
- Undergo and successfully complete Momentum's comprehensive belay instructor training and certification program.
- Supervise climbers on top-rope and auto-belay walls, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and gym rules.
- Provide basic belay instruction and safety briefings to new and experienced climbers.
- Monitor climbing areas for potential hazards and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe climbing facility.
- Act as a welcoming and helpful presence for all gym visitors.
- Promote a positive and inclusive climbing culture.
- Learn and effectively communicate climbing techniques and gym policies.

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of climbing terminology and equipment.
- Previous experience in a customer service or active role.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
