Job Description

IBM is seeking an enthusiastic and quick-learning individual to join our team as a WFH Video Conferencing Support Tech – Help Desk, Entry Level. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with no prior professional experience in IT, as comprehensive training will be provided. In this 100% remote role, you will be the first point of contact for our employees, providing crucial technical assistance for video conferencing platforms and general help desk inquiries, all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for internal employees experiencing issues with video conferencing software and hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve common technical problems related to audio, video, screen sharing, and connectivity.
- Guide users through troubleshooting steps via phone, chat, and email.
- Escalate complex issues to senior support technicians when necessary, ensuring clear and detailed documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all support interactions and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base for common technical issues and their solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with technology and best practices.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and helpful demeanor.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort navigating various operating systems (Windows/macOS).
