Job Description
Join EF Education First as a Work From Home TEFL / ESL Teacher and empower students across the globe to achieve English fluency. This is a fully remote, contract position where you will deliver engaging online English lessons to non-native speakers of various age groups and proficiency levels. Leverage our cutting-edge online platform and comprehensive curriculum to create an impactful learning experience from the comfort of your home. We are looking for passionate educators dedicated to making a difference in students’ lives through interactive and effective online teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging, and interactive online English lessons to students worldwide.
- Utilize EF's provided curriculum and teaching materials effectively.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging virtual classroom environment.
- Adhere to scheduled teaching times and ensure punctuality for all lessons.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions as required.
- Communicate effectively with students and EF support staff.
- Ensure a stable internet connection and a quiet, professional teaching space.
Required Skills
- Native-level English proficiency
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (120+ hours)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and digital tools
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a quiet and professional teaching environment
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field (Education or Linguistics preferred)
- 1+ years of experience teaching ESL/EFL, either online or in-person
- Experience teaching diverse age groups (children, teenagers, adults)
- Familiarity with various learning management systems (LMS)
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness
