Job Description
Are you looking to start a career in healthcare administration without prior experience? Sutter Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Radiology Department as an Entry Level X-Ray / Radiology File Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn the foundational aspects of hospital operations and medical records management. Key Responsibilities
- Organize, file, and retrieve patient X-ray films, digital images, and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform data entry for patient information, imaging requests, and report distribution.
- Scan and digitize physical records into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist radiology technologists and administrative staff with locating and managing patient files.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes for the department.
- Respond to inquiries regarding patient records from authorized personnel.
- Ensure the filing area remains neat, organized, and easily accessible.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
