Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Tire Fitting Technician to join our team in Revelstoke, BC. This critical role involves providing on-site tire services to our diverse range of customers, including passenger vehicles, light trucks, and commercial fleets. You will be responsible for mobile tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs, primarily using a company-provided service van. This position includes participation in an on-call roster, requiring flexibility and responsiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Perform mobile tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs for various vehicle types.
- Operate and maintain a company-provided service van and specialized tire service equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly and professionally to service calls and emergency breakdowns as part of an on-call roster.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires and wheels, identifying issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service at client locations, ensuring satisfaction and building positive relationships.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including service reports, invoices, and safety checklists.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service van and tools.
- Assist with in-shop duties as required during downtime or scheduled shifts.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in tire fitting or automotive service.
- Tire Industry Association (TIA) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a mobile service environment or an on-call capacity.
- Familiarity with tire management systems and service software.
- Experience with commercial truck tires or agricultural tires.
