Job Description

Truist Financial is excited to offer an entry-level Mortgage Loan Processor Assistant – Real Estate Finance Trainee position in our Athens, GA office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to learn the fundamentals of mortgage lending from the ground up. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship, gaining valuable insights into the mortgage application process, regulatory compliance, and client relations. This role is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance within the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior loan processors in organizing and reviewing mortgage loan application files.
- Gather and verify necessary documentation, including income statements, credit reports, and property appraisals.
- Communicate with applicants to collect missing information and answer basic inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in the company's database.
- Learn and apply company policies and procedures related to mortgage processing.
- Support the team in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare preliminary disclosures and assist with loan closing preparations.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and closing departments.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
