Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-time Bar Manager to oversee our evening operations. This crucial role involves managing bar staff, ensuring smooth service, maintaining inventory, and upholding our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency during peak evening hours. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for someone looking to take on significant responsibility within a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead evening bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Manage bar inventory, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular counts to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
- Oversee the preparation and service of beverages, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Handle cash management, including opening and closing procedures, reconciliations, and secure handling of funds.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular training sessions for bar staff on new products, techniques, and service standards.
- Assist in developing new drink menus and promotional strategies to enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor and manage bar equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in bar supervision or management.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of mixology, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Bartending certification or equivalent training.
- Experience with local Philadelphia liquor laws and regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
