Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Quest Apartment Hotels Kalgoorlie. This full-time role offers stable hours and is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service. You will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and efficiently handle check-in and check-out procedures.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using the property management system.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process payments, manage daily cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable front desk and lobby area.
- Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Provide information and assistance to guests, including directions, local recommendations, and general support.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as sorting mail, preparing reports, and managing office supplies.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to speak multiple languages (e.g., Mandarin, German, French).
- First Aid certification.
