Job Description

Veridian Property Management is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Property Maintenance Assistant (Handyman/Mate) to join our team in Saanich. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are keen to learn the ins and outs of property maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in various repair, maintenance, and upkeep tasks across our diverse portfolio of properties. We provide all necessary training, tools, and a supportive environment to help you succeed and grow within our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior maintenance staff with various repair and upkeep tasks in residential and commercial properties.
- Perform routine tasks such as painting, minor plumbing fixes, basic carpentry, and general cleaning.
- Help with the installation and repair of fixtures, appliances, and other property components.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests under supervision.
- Assist with grounds keeping duties, including litter removal and basic landscaping.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Required Skills

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
