Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and innovative Test & Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Carlisle, PA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and analyzing tests for our next-generation connectivity and sensor solutions. You will work closely with design and manufacturing teams to ensure our products meet rigorous quality standards and perform reliably in various applications. This position is vital for maintaining our commitment to excellence and driving continuous improvement in product development and performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in the entire product lifecycle, from concept validation to production release, ensuring all technical and customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures based on product specifications and customer requirements.
  • Design and implement test setups, fixtures, and automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Execute various types of tests, including functional, performance, environmental, and reliability tests.
  • Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve issues and improve product designs.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Document test results, methodologies, and processes clearly and concisely.
  • Participate in design reviews and FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to ensure testability and quality from the early stages of product development.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in test and validation engineering.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, data acquisition, and analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in using test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, data loggers).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) and statistical process control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) programming (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C#).
  • Familiarity with industry standards for testing and quality (e.g., ISO, ASTM, IPC).
  • Experience in the automotive, industrial, or aerospace sectors.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing (thermal cycling, vibration, humidity).
  • Understanding of sensor technologies and connectivity solutions.
