Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and looking for an opportunity to learn a skilled trade? Nationwide Crash Repair Centres in Rotherham is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Panel Beater (Trainee). This entry-level position offers comprehensive, hands-on training from experienced professionals, designed to equip you with all the knowledge and skills required to become a fully qualified Panel Beater. No prior experience is necessary – just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a keen interest in vehicle body repair. You will learn how to assess damage, use specialist tools, and perform high-quality repairs to various vehicle panels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Panel Beaters with various tasks, observing and learning repair techniques.
- Learn to identify different types of body damage and appropriate repair methods.
- Undertake practical training in panel straightening, filling, welding, and shaping.
- Prepare vehicle panels for painting, including sanding and masking.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the workshop.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Actively participate in all training sessions and complete assigned learning modules.
- Develop proficiency in using a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
