Job Description
UCHealth is seeking dedicated and experienced Radiographers / Sonographers to join our dynamic imaging team in Colorado Springs. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified professionals, including those requiring skilled worker visa sponsorship, to contribute to a world-class healthcare system. You will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and sonographic procedures according to established protocols.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Position patients safely and accurately for optimal image acquisition.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions throughout procedures.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and all institutional policies.
- Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide compassionate care and maintain patient confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography or ARDMS certification in Sonography.
- Proficiency in operating X-ray and/or ultrasound equipment.
- Strong understanding of anatomical structures and physiological processes.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.
- Eligibility for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CT, MRI, Vascular Sonography).
- Experience with PACS and EMR systems.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Prior experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center.
