Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Painter’s Offsider to join our dynamic team in Taree. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in industrial painting. You will work alongside experienced painters, assisting with surface preparation, material handling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This role focuses on ‘clean industrial work,’ meaning a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order on site. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified painters with all aspects of industrial painting projects.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers.
  • Handle and transport painting materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and maintain painting tools, brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Ensure the worksite remains clean, tidy, and organised throughout the project duration.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Support the team with general labour tasks as required.
  • Learn and apply new painting techniques and safety protocols under supervision.
