Job Description
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Federal Courthouse Security Guard in Las Vegas, NV. This pivotal role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for federal employees, visitors, and property within a federal courthouse. You will be responsible for upholding security protocols, monitoring premises, and providing a visible security presence. Key Responsibilities
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct at the federal courthouse.
- Control access to the facility, verifying identification and visitor credentials.
- Conduct patrols of the interior and exterior of the courthouse building and grounds.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems.
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Write detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Provide assistance and directions to authorized personnel and visitors.
- Enforce all federal and company security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of security experience or relevant customer service/military background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Sound judgment and the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Must be able to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role within a government or public facility.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with access control systems and CCTV monitoring.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on de-escalation.
