Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Dock Worker to join our team in Penzance. As a Dock Worker, you will be an essential part of our port operations, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of cargo and the smooth flow of port activities. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the maritime logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload cargo from vessels, ensuring proper securing and handling.
  • Operate various dockside equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).
  • Monitor and manage the flow of traffic and cargo within the dock area.
  • Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with mooring and unmooring vessels as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock and warehouse areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and vessel crew.
