Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement & Vendor Management Intern to join our Purchasing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, vendor relationship management, and procurement operations within a leading energy infrastructure company. You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting critical projects that ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role is designed for an enthusiastic individual looking to apply academic knowledge in a dynamic corporate environment and develop foundational skills in supply chain and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data analysis to identify potential cost savings and process improvements within the procurement cycle.
- Support the vendor selection process, including research, qualification, and evaluation of potential suppliers.
- Help maintain and update vendor databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Participate in the preparation and review of purchase orders and contracts, ensuring adherence to procurement policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide support for various projects.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new technologies, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
