Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Warehouse Janitorial Staff member to join our team in Sidcup, Greater London. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within a busy warehouse facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and presentation. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who takes pride in their work and is capable of managing their tasks effectively without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas within the warehouse.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, shelving, and equipment as required.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes, ensuring proper segregation.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, reporting stock levels to the supervisor.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role, especially within a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Full UK driving license (desirable for potential flexibility or occasional site support, though not essential for this specific role).
