Job Description

Join Barclays as a Remote Banking Customer Service Representative and become a vital part of our dedicated team, providing exceptional support to our banking customers. This is a fully remote position where you will handle inbound calls and online inquiries, assisting customers with their banking needs, resolving issues, and providing information on our products and services. We are committed to your success and will provide all necessary secure work-from-home equipment, including a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset, along with comprehensive training to ensure you are fully prepared for the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and online channels regarding banking products, services, and accounts.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and effectively, escalating complex problems to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Provide accurate information and guidance on account management, transactions, online banking, and other financial services.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to relevant Barclays products and services that meet their financial needs.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately in the CRM system.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a customer service role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear, professional telephone manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and comfortable navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • A quiet, private workspace free from distractions with a reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information.
