Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Loading Bay Operative to join our night shift team at our Elliot Lake distribution facility. This is an immediate start position perfect for individuals looking to begin a stable career in logistics. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within our loading bays, preparing products for dispatch, and receiving incoming shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment (training provided).
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and packing lists.
- Organize and stack products in designated areas within the loading bay and warehouse.
- Operate pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts (certification provided during training).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the loading bay.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Report any discrepancies or damage to supervisors immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Basic communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
