Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Blood Bank Donor Recruiter to join our vital team in Newark, NJ. This role is crucial for ensuring a stable and sufficient blood supply for our patients and the wider community. As a Donor Recruiter, you will be responsible for outbound sales and community outreach efforts to identify, engage, and retain blood donors. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, passionate about making a tangible difference in people’s lives through life-saving blood donations. This is a results-oriented role with a base salary plus commission opportunities based on recruitment targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for donor recruitment and retention within the assigned territory.
• Conduct outreach activities to businesses, community organizations, schools, and religious groups to schedule blood drives and recruit donors.
• Deliver presentations and educational sessions to prospective donor groups, articulating the critical need for blood and the donation process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and key stakeholders to foster ongoing partnerships.
• Utilize CRM tools to track interactions, manage donor leads, and monitor recruitment progress.
• Achieve specific monthly and quarterly donor recruitment targets.
• Represent RWJBarnabas Health at community events, health fairs, and corporate wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal marketing and operations teams to optimize recruitment campaigns and drive donor participation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all prospective and active donors, ensuring a positive experience.

Required Skills

• 1+ years of experience in sales, outreach, community relations, or a related field.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed targets in a sales-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with public speaking experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
• Highly organized with strong time management abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM software.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in healthcare, non-profit, or blood services recruitment.
• Knowledge of local community organizations and businesses in the Newark/Northern New Jersey area.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
