Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team in Pune. This critical role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to support our vaccine development and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will contribute to scientific investigations, ensure data accuracy, and maintain laboratory standards. We offer comprehensive support for a Skilled Worker Visa for eligible international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses on biological samples.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze and interpret test results, preparing detailed reports for senior scientists and research teams.
- Develop and optimize laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experiments and findings.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Participate in research projects, contributing to experimental design and data collection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory operations and scientific methodologies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis).
- Experience with cell culture techniques and aseptic practices.
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and assurance principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex scientific data and prepare clear reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vaccine development or infectious disease research.
- Knowledge of GLP/GMP guidelines.
- Previous experience working in an international research environment.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software.
