Job Description
Are you passionate about craft beer and love connecting with people? Brew & Bottle Co. is seeking an enthusiastic Craft Beer / Bottle Shop Advisor to join our team for evening shifts. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our shop, assisting customers in navigating our diverse selection, providing expert recommendations, and ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a lively environment, has a keen interest in the world of craft beer, and thrives on delivering excellent customer service during our busiest hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that match their preferences.
- Provide informed recommendations on craft beers, including styles, breweries, and food pairings.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, including shelving, displays, and common areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and receiving deliveries.
- Educate customers on new arrivals, special promotions, and upcoming tasting events.
- Ensure compliance with all age verification regulations for alcohol sales.
- Uphold a positive and friendly atmosphere for all customers and team members.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS operation.
- Ability to lift and move cases of beer (up to 30-50 lbs) regularly.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A genuine interest in craft beer and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience, especially in a beverage-related field.
- Basic knowledge of craft beer styles, breweries, and the brewing process.
- Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
