Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented National Archive Assistant to join our team in Fontana, CA. This permanent, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the meticulous organization and preservation of national archival materials in a quiet and focused environment. As an Archive Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of vital records. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the intake, cataloging, and shelving of archival materials.
- Perform accurate data entry into archival databases and inventory systems.
- Retrieve and refile documents and boxes according to established procedures.
- Conduct basic preservation tasks, such as re-housing materials into acid-free containers.
- Participate in routine inventory checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and quiet work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all security, privacy, and handling protocols for sensitive materials.
- Collaborate with senior archive staff on various projects as needed.
