Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor / General Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Brandon, Manitoba. The successful candidate will provide primary healthcare services, focusing on preventative care, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of medical conditions for patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Offer preventative health services, including immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records in compliance with professional and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, specialists, and support staff to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare services as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing medical education and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Required Skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligibility for licensure or current licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSO). We provide support for international candidates in this process.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a General Practitioner or Family Physician.
  • Experience working in a Canadian healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to Manitoba's diverse population.
  • Interest in rural or community-based medicine.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system.
