Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Vending Machine Operator to join our team in Bradford. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation, stocking, cleaning, and basic maintenance of a route of vending machines across various client sites. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent time management skills and a commitment to ensuring our machines are always fully stocked, operational, and presentable. A clean driving license is essential as you will be operating a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated route of vending machines, ensuring timely service.
- Restock machines with a variety of snacks, beverages, and other products.
- Clean and maintain vending machines to ensure hygiene and optimal functionality.
- Perform basic fault-finding and minor repairs on machines; escalate complex issues to technical support.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory in the company vehicle and warehouse.
- Handle cash collection, reconciliation, and accurate record-keeping.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to client inquiries and feedback promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital logs accurately.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (clean record).
- Ability to lift and carry stock items up to 25kg.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor repairs.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic numeracy for cash handling and inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a vending, delivery, or field service role.
- Familiarity with various vending machine models and technologies.
- Experience with handheld devices for route management and inventory.
- Knowledge of local Bradford and surrounding areas.
