Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and resilient Remote IT Outage Dispatcher to join our fast-paced Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This 100% remote position requires an individual who thrives under pressure, possesses excellent communication skills, and can efficiently coordinate resources during critical IT service outages. You will be the crucial link between detected issues and the technical teams responsible for resolution, working varied shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor network systems and infrastructure for service disruptions and outages.
- Receive, log, and accurately document all incoming incident reports from various sources.
- Prioritize incidents based on severity, impact, and established protocols.
- Dispatch appropriate technical teams, field technicians, or engineers to address outages and service issues.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding incident status and resolution progress.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications, actions taken, and incident timelines.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure efficient and effective incident resolution.
- Adhere strictly to defined shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.
- Utilize dispatch software and communication tools efficiently.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support or management as necessary.
Required Skills

- Proven ability to work effectively and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, or telecommunications concepts.
- Proficiency in using dispatch or incident management software.

- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dispatch, call center, or technical support role.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Information Technology or a related field.
