Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Market Intelligence Lead to join our Corporate Strategy team in Alice Springs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the collection, analysis, and dissemination of market insights to inform strategic decision-making across the bank’s operations, particularly focusing on regional markets. You will translate complex market data into actionable recommendations, identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in market research or corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of market intelligence projects, including competitive analysis, customer segmentation, and market sizing.
- Identify and track key market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the financial services industry.
- Develop comprehensive market intelligence reports and presentations for senior leadership and business unit heads.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, and sales teams, to align market insights with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external research agencies and data providers to ensure access to high-quality market data.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market insights to support business growth, product innovation, and market entry strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts within the strategy team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor competitor activities and strategies, identifying potential threats and opportunities for CBA.
- Contribute to the annual strategic planning process by providing robust market context and foresight.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in market research, business intelligence, corporate strategy, or a related analytical field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in market research methodologies, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software), and presentation software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with a keen understanding of business drivers and market dynamics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.

- Master's degree or MBA.
