Job Description
Are you passionate about the outdoors and keen to make a tangible difference to the environment? Landmarc Support Services Ltd. is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Sustainable Forestry Labourers for seasonal tree planting in the Gateshead area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors, learn new skills, and contribute directly to sustainable forestry and ecological restoration efforts. No prior experience in forestry is required, as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all tasks. You will be an integral part of our team, helping to reforest land, enhance biodiversity, and maintain our natural landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in large-scale tree planting initiatives, following specific planting plans and techniques.
- Prepare planting sites, including clearing vegetation and debris as needed.
- Maintain newly planted trees, which may include weeding, mulching, or protecting saplings.
- Assist with other general forestry and site maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Operate hand tools safely and effectively for planting and site preparation.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on site.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve daily planting targets and project goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills quickly.

- Certification in First Aid (though training may be provided).
