Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Student Intern to join our dynamic team in Joondalup. This is an incredible opportunity for a current electrical student to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to real-world projects. You will support our electrical engineers and technicians across various infrastructure projects, helping to ensure the smooth and safe operation of critical systems. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone eager to start their career in the electrical industry and accumulate essential industry hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist electrical engineers and technicians with project tasks and on-site activities.
- Conduct basic electrical inspections and checks under supervision.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports.
- Assist with data collection and analysis for various electrical systems.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Shadow senior staff to understand practical applications of electrical theory.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade program.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and circuits.
- Strong desire to learn and develop practical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Prior experience with hand tools and basic electrical equipment (non-professional).
- Valid Western Australian C-class driver's license.
