Job Description

Veolia UK is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Festival Trash Collectors. This is an exciting temporary role perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors, are reliable, and are keen to contribute to the success and cleanliness of a large-scale event. No prior experience is necessary – we’ll provide all the training you need to excel in this role. You’ll play a crucial part in maintaining a clean and safe environment for festival-goers, ensuring waste is managed efficiently and responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively collect litter and refuse from designated festival areas, including stages, food courts, camping zones, and walkways.
- Empty bins and replace liners regularly to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene standards.
- Sort collected waste into appropriate recycling and general waste streams.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment if required (e.g., litter pickers, wheelbarrows).
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient coverage.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful working environment for all festival staff and attendees.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
