Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Agribusiness Consultant – Professional to join our team in Wangaratta, Victoria. In this role, you will provide expert strategic and operational advice to clients across various agricultural sectors. You will be instrumental in helping farmers and agribusinesses optimize their operations, improve financial performance, and adapt to market changes. This position requires a strong understanding of agricultural practices, financial analysis, and excellent client relationship management skills. You will work on diverse projects, from farm planning and succession to market analysis and technology adoption, making a tangible impact on the future of Australian agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive farm and agribusiness assessments, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, business models, and financial forecasts for clients.
- Provide expert advice on crop management, livestock systems, water management, and sustainable practices.
- Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and policy changes to inform client recommendations.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for clients on various agribusiness topics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agribusiness consulting, farm management, or a related agricultural advisory role.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with proven presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and business case development.
- Deep understanding of Australian agricultural systems and markets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
