As a Caregiver/Companion, you will provide essential non-medical support, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities to seniors in their homes, fostering independence and enriching their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities (e.g., puzzles, games, conversation).
- Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, tidying common areas, and changing linens.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Run errands and provide transportation to appointments or social outings.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
Required Skills
- A genuine desire to help others and a compassionate nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks diligently.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with current auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to learn and commit to our paid training program (no prior experience or certification required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
