Job Description
We are seeking experienced Commercial Plumbers and Pipefitters to join our dynamic teams working on significant commercial and industrial projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing and pipefitting systems, including water supply, drainage, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles and lengths using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install valves, fittings, and other components.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber or Pipefitter.
- Strong understanding of commercial plumbing and piping systems, including their installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency with relevant tools and equipment (e.g., pipe cutters, threaders, welding equipment).
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in plumbing or pipefitting.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent international qualification.
- Experience with specific commercial systems such as hydronic heating, steam systems, or industrial process piping.
- CSCS card (or equivalent occupational competence card) for working on UK construction sites.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
