Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our sales and marketing initiatives. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue goals, enhance brand visibility, and drive market share for our hotel. The Director will oversee all aspects of sales, including corporate accounts, group bookings, and event sales, while also directing comprehensive marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hotel sales and marketing, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality market in Prince Albert and surrounding regions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
  • Identify new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and negotiate contracts for corporate, group, and event bookings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Oversee the hotel's online presence, including website, social media, and third-party booking channels.
  • Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate closely with other department heads (e.g., General Manager, Revenue Manager) to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall hotel objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community functions to enhance brand recognition.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality market segments, including corporate, leisure, and group sales.
  • Proficiency in sales management software (e.g., CRM) and hotel property management systems (PMS).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable sales strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Wyndham brand standards and sales platforms.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to potential international markets.
  • Existing network of corporate and group clients in the Saskatchewan region.
