Job Description
Northern Timberworks is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Drumstick Sanding Operative to join our bustling woodworking facility in Wetaskiwin. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for individuals with excellent manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail, who are eager to learn the craft of precision sanding. No prior experience in woodworking is required; comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you master the techniques necessary to produce flawless drumsticks. You will play a crucial role in the final stages of drumstick production, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality and finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various sanding machinery and tools to smooth and finish wooden drumstick blanks.
- Inspect drumsticks for imperfections, ensuring a consistent and high-quality finish.
- Maintain and clean sanding equipment and work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the woodworking facility.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Monitor material flow and report any supply issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other production tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
