Job Description
BMD Group is seeking motivated and reliable General Labourers to join our dynamic construction teams in Rockhampton, QLD. This is an immediate start opportunity offering top hourly rates for individuals eager to contribute to significant local projects. If you’re physically fit, a quick learner, and ready to work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment, we want to hear from you – no prior experience required! We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and support to help you succeed and grow within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople and construction professionals with various tasks on site.
- Perform general site cleanup and maintain a tidy and organised work area.
- Safely load, unload, and move materials manually or using basic equipment as directed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision after receiving training.
- Support site supervisors with ad-hoc duties to ensure project efficiency.
- Prepare work areas and assist with site setup and pack down.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions diligently and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles (or strong willingness to learn).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Construction Induction White Card (essential for working on construction sites in Australia; can be obtained quickly if not already held).
- Valid Australian driver's license and reliable transport to various Rockhampton sites.
- Basic First Aid Certificate.
- Any previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work.
