Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and highly responsible Government Archival Transport Driver to join our team in Calgary. This critical role involves the secure and confidential transportation of sensitive government archival materials between facilities. The successful candidate must possess an impeccable driving record, demonstrate strong ethical conduct, and be committed to maintaining strict confidentiality protocols. While specific experience in archival transport is not required, a clean background check and a steadfast dedication to security are paramount. Full training on our specialized transport procedures and security protocols will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport government archival materials between designated locations in Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, chain-of-custody procedures, and confidentiality agreements.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the transport vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pick-ups, and vehicle maintenance.
- Report any incidents, delays, or security concerns immediately to dispatch.
- Handle archival materials with extreme care, ensuring their preservation during transit.
- Collaborate effectively with archival staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent Secure Archival Logistics Inc. professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Demonstrable commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to pass comprehensive background checks and security clearances.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move archival boxes (up to 25 kg) safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in secure transport or logistics roles.
- Familiarity with Calgary roadways and traffic patterns.
- Completion of a defensive driving course.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance checks.
