Job Description

We are seeking a highly efficient and accurate Government Data Entry Operator for a crucial 6-month contract based in Manchester. This role is essential for supporting a high-volume data processing initiative for a key government project. The successful candidate will be responsible for inputting, verifying, and maintaining large volumes of sensitive data with precision and speed. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputting large volumes of alphanumeric data from various source documents into designated systems.
  • Verifying data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors where necessary.
  • Maintaining data integrity and confidentiality in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Organising and prioritising workload to meet daily targets and deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Performing regular data quality checks and assisting with data reconciliation tasks.
  • Liaising with team members and supervisors to resolve data discrepancies or processing issues.
  • Adhering to all security and data protection protocols, including GDPR and government specific guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data entry or a similar administrative role (minimum 6 months).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing speed and data inputting capabilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet daily targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a government or public sector environment.
  • Familiarity with specific data management systems or CRM software.
