Job Description
Are you passionate about the outdoors and eager to contribute to the preservation of beautiful landscapes? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Groundsworker to join our team in Southport. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals who enjoy physical work, have a keen eye for detail, and are committed to maintaining high standards in our managed grounds. Full training will be provided to help you develop the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in conservation and horticulture.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, weeding, planting, and pruning.
- Operate and maintain a variety of grounds care equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the upkeep of pathways, fences, and other site infrastructure.
- Undertake seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, gritting, and snow removal.
- Support the wider estates team with conservation projects and habitat management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and National Trust policies.
- Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Interact politely with visitors and answer basic queries about the grounds when necessary.
