Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Healthcare Administrator / Director to join our team in Prince Albert. This critical leadership role involves overseeing operational efficiency, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing departmental resources within our healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing strategic initiatives, fostering a collaborative work environment, and upholding the highest standards of healthcare delivery. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, financial management, and staff development. The ‘CoS Provided’ indicates that a Certificate of Sponsorship will be provided for qualified international candidates, subject to eligibility and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for assigned healthcare departments or facilities.
  • Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare leaders, physicians, and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance, outcomes, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Address and resolve complex administrative and operational challenges effectively.
  • Ensure effective communication channels are maintained throughout the department/facility.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in healthcare administration or management.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated financial management and budgeting expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and quality standards.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • Professional certification in healthcare management (e.g., CHE, FACHE).
  • Experience working within the Canadian healthcare system, particularly in Saskatchewan.
  • A track record of successful project management and strategic planning in a healthcare setting.
