Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hearing Aid / Audiology Assistant to join our busy clinic in Richmond, BC. This role offers a unique blend of retail support and clinical assistance, ideal for someone passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through better hearing. You will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our clinic, providing vital support to our Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Practitioners, and ensuring an excellent experience for every client. This is an on-site position requiring a presence at our Richmond clinic location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in clients, managing appointment schedules and client flow.
  • Assist Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Practitioners with client consultations and procedures.
  • Perform basic hearing aid maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.
  • Educate clients on proper hearing aid care and usage.
  • Manage inventory of hearing aids and accessories, placing orders as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and processing payments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment.
  • Conduct pre-screening hearing tests and gather client history.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail and clinical environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of customer service principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or retail setting, especially optometry, dental, or audiology.
  • Familiarity with medical office software or CRM systems.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Healthcare Administration).
  • Knowledge of hearing aid technology or audiology terminology.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
