Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Honey Harvesters to join our team for the upcoming season in Mount Gambier. This casual, day shift role involves working outdoors in various apiary locations, assisting with the extraction of honey from beehives. Full training will be provided to ensure your safety and effectiveness. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for seasonal outdoor work, who are physically fit and enjoy working as part of a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe transportation and placement of beehives.
- Handle bee frames and operate honey extraction equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the processing area.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work effectively in a team environment to meet daily harvest targets.
- Perform general labor tasks as required in the apiary.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 20kg).
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around bees (with protective gear).
- Team player with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural or outdoor labor roles.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of agricultural machinery operation.
