Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Offending Team Assistant to join our Local Council team in Regina. This rewarding role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people and contributing to community safety. As an Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative and operational support to the Youth Offending Team, helping to facilitate interventions and ensure the smooth running of services. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Youth Offending Team, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, assessments, and case documentation.
  • Liaise with young people, families, other agencies, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Support Youth Offending Officers in delivering interventions and programs for young people.
  • Manage and organize team resources, ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and according to data protection guidelines.
  • Contribute to team meetings and discussions, offering insights and support as required.
  • Undertake general office duties to ensure an efficient and organized work environment.

Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Social Work, Criminology, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian youth justice system and relevant legislation.
  • Experience with case management systems or databases.
