Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team in the Luggage & Travel Accessories department at our Sarasota mall location. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with product selection, providing expert advice on luggage features and travel solutions, and driving sales to meet department goals. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs.
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge on various luggage brands, materials, features, and travel accessories.
- Assist customers in selecting the ideal luggage, handbags, and travel items based on their preferences and travel requirements.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Replenish stock and ensure proper signage and pricing are in place.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new product arrivals, promotions, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented retail environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, particularly in luggage, handbags, or accessories.
- Familiarity with various luggage brands and travel accessories.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
