Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our leading research group focusing on infectious disease immunology. This exciting opportunity involves conducting independent and collaborative research, contributing to high-impact publications, and actively participating in the intellectual life of our department. The successful candidate will leverage advanced molecular and immunological techniques to investigate host-pathogen interactions and develop novel therapeutic strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex experimental protocols relating to infectious disease immunology.
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and presentation using appropriate statistical and bioinformatics tools.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Contribute to grant writing and funding applications.
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers, including PhD students and research assistants.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experimental procedures and results.
- Ensure compliance with all institutional and national health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related biomedical science field.
- Proven track record of scientific publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Extensive experience with cell culture techniques, including primary cell isolation and immortalized cell lines.
- Proficiency in flow cytometry, ELISA, Western blotting, and quantitative PCR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with infectious disease models (in vitro or in vivo).
- Experience in bioinformatics tools for transcriptomic or proteomic data analysis.
- Familiarity with grant application processes and project management.
- Demonstrable experience in supervising or mentoring students.
