Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Recycling Plant Quality Sorter to join our team in Harrogate. This is an immediate hire position, perfect for individuals looking for stable employment and a chance to contribute to environmental sustainability. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You will be responsible for manually sorting various materials to ensure quality and divert waste from landfills. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied to all team members, ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort recyclable materials on a conveyor belt, identifying and separating different types of waste (e.g., plastics, paper, cardboard, glass, metals).
- Ensure the purity and quality of sorted materials, removing contaminants and non-recyclable items.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily sorting targets.
