Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically capable individual to join our hardscaping team as a Retaining Wall Block Carrier. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the landscaping and hardscaping industry. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and placement of heavy retaining wall blocks and other hardscaping materials on various job sites, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. This role requires significant physical stamina and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently carry, lift, and position heavy retaining wall blocks, pavers, and other hardscaping materials.
- Assist skilled hardscapers and project leads with site preparation, material staging, and project cleanup.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and into designated work areas.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, compactors) under supervision.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) throughout the workday.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Excellent work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role, such as construction, landscaping, or warehouse work.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
