Job Description
This entry-level internship offers an unparalleled opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of special effects makeup. As an SFX Intern, you will work directly with our experienced team, assisting in the creation of prosthetic pieces, realistic wounds, creature makeup, and other transformative looks for various productions. No prior professional experience in SFX is required; we are seeking passionate individuals eager to learn and grow within the dynamic field of cinematic makeup. Full training will be provided, focusing on both foundational techniques and advanced SFX applications in a professional studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead SFX artists with preparation, application, and removal of makeup and prosthetics for various projects.
- Organize and maintain the SFX makeup kit and workstation, ensuring cleanliness and proper stock levels.
- Shadow senior artists during on-set applications and learn various practical techniques and industry standards.
- Support the creation of molds, prosthetics, and custom pieces in the workshop under supervision.
- Research and gather reference materials for upcoming projects and character looks.
- Learn about product safety, hygiene, and industry best practices for SFX materials.
- Contribute creative ideas and actively participate in team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
