Are you looking for a dynamic role that fits your night owl schedule? Join our dedicated team at Tesco in Wavertree as a Supermarket Assistant for our casual night roster. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals seeking flexible evening and overnight work, providing essential support to ensure our store is meticulously prepared for customers each day. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. You will be responsible for stocking shelves, maintaining impeccable store standards, and assisting with various operational tasks during non-trading hours, contributing to a clean, well-organised, and fully stocked shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish stock on shelves, ensuring correct product placement and rotation.
- Maintain clean and tidy aisles, ensuring the store is presentable for opening hours.
- Assist with deliveries, unloading goods and preparing them for the shop floor.
- Operate equipment safely, such as pallet trucks or cages, after appropriate training.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed during the night shift.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to commit to overnight shifts and weekends as required by the casual roster.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attendance.
- Capable of physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods (full training on safe practices provided).
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
